Hypnobirthing Educators© are dedicated to promoting natural childbirth with the aid of hypnosis for relaxation.
We provide a Hypnobirthing practitioner course in natural birthing.
We ensure that Hypnobirthing Practitioners trained by us have more than an introduction to hypnosis to deliver the hypnotherapy section of their classes.
The Guild of Advanced Hypnotherapists© established in 1988 have tailored a Hypnobirthing practitioner course to teach our Hypnobirthing practitioners all they need to know to work within safe guidelines.
Knowing how to hypnotise a subject is not enough, there are certain people who are not safe to hypnotise, and health and safety factors that have to be adhered to.
There are techniques to deal with a subject who might get upset whilst in hypnosis, and for bringing a subject out of trance when they resist the normal methods.
You do not have to be a midwife, or have any other prior qualifications to become a Hypnobirthing Educator©.
Role of the Hypnobirthing Practitioner.
A Hypnobirthing practitioner is not required to be present at the birth. They will have taught the couples hypnotherapy and natural birthing methods prior to the birth
This Hypnobirthing practitioner course will enable you to enjoy a rewarding and lucrative career educating groups of mothers-to-be to achieve a natural birth.
The Hypnobirthing Practitioner trains the mother-to-be and her birth partner to use safe hypnotherapy relaxation techniques, enabling the mother to rest and sleep during the latter stages of her pregnancy, and to relax during the stages of labour.
The mother is taught to understand the process of birth, taking away the fear/pain syndrome which is associated with childbirth.
With this knowledge they can look forward to welcoming the baby into the world naturally, without any unnecessary interventions.
Hypnosis may reduce the duration of labour.
The mother is able to enjoy and bond with her baby.
The baby, calm and tension free, can bond with its mother.
The need for medical interventions can be reduced and frequently eliminated.
There are no after effects for mother or baby from the use of drugs or from epidural pain relief.
Postnatal depression may be reduced.
Hypnobirthing mothers feedback
Just to let you know that I gave birth to my baby girl Monday 5th December at 23.40. This was the day after my due date and I was in fact due to be induced at 22.00 that night but in the end managed to avoid it. Maybe it was all the positive thinking
My midwife examined me (just to stop me moaning I think as she didn't think I was in labour) and I was 6cm dilated! I didn't even manage to get changed before being rushed to the labour room.
The pushing stage was actually quite easy (compared to what I thought).
I'd been using the hypnobirthing music daily and trying to stay positive so I think it really helped me. I was calm, unstressed and looking forward to the birth in the end. The midwife couldn’t believe I was the same person she visited who couldn't even look at pictures of birth.
Thanks you for your help, it was much appreciated. It certainly made a difference to me being able to relax.
